Position Summary & Responsibilities

Position Summary:

The position manages the Workforce/Employment First grant for KDADS. Responsible for managing the Workforce/Employment First grant. Has oversight of the grantee organization’s services, all reporting, data collection and changes to the grant. Works with grantee(s) to study and make recommendations regarding potential policy and service models to increase employment and create a workforce ladder. Works with KDADS program, quality, and licensing staff to improve programs. Recommends changes to policies as needed. Collaborates with consumers, advocacy groups, families, and providers to help shape policy. Attends webinars, conferences, and meetings to gather information on best practices in Workforce development.

Job Responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following:

Works with KDADS program, quality, and licensing staff to improve programs. Recommends changes to policies as needed. Collaborates with consumers, advocacy groups, families, and providers to help shape policy. Attends webinars, conferences, and meetings to gather information on best practices in Workforce development.

Completes special projects and performs other duties as assigned including but not limited to ensuring the agency is adequately staffed during and immediately following natural and/or manmade disasters, infectious disease outbreaks, and/or acts of terrorism. Assists other employees in the work unit in accomplishing assignments as necessary.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of HCBS employment services system.
  • 5+ yrs of work experience in Medicaid
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, Power Point

Preferred Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree
  • Project or grants management experience
