Job Summary:\ Provide word processing and document quality support to Finley and Cook audit department.


\ Supervisory Responsibilities:\ Train other word processing/document quality assistants.


\ Duties/Responsibilities:


  • Maintain the audit departments client listing.
  • Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filings.
  • Project a professional company image through in-person and phone interaction.
  • Sign for and distribute mail and packages, as needed.
  • Perform quality control review of client reports and letters as directed by the Partners and Managers in accordance with the Firms quality control program.
  • Ensure client engagement letters are drafted and delivered on a timely basis.
  • Setup and coordinate meetings and conferences, as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.
  • Prepare service proposals as drafted by the Partners or Managers.
  • Prepare client engagement letters for Partner or Manager approval.
  • Perform engagement confirmation process, as needed.
  • Process engagement reports and letters as provided by the audit staff.
  • Process and distribute memos/letters to the audit group as approved by the Partners and Managers.
  • Prepare draft engagement reports prior to the engagement start date.
  • Process completed reports and letters for filing and client delivery, as needed.


Required Skills/Abilities


  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent written grammar/punctuation skills, as well as accurate proofreading ability.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment.
  • Motivated self-starter with ability to work autonomously, multitask and accurately complete assignments within time constraints and deadlines.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 50 words per minute.
  • Excellent written grammar/punctuation skills, as well as accurate proofreading ability.
  • High degree of skill in applying advanced software functions (Microsoft Word, and Excel, Windows).
  • High degree of skill in preparing complex and detailed documents, including financial statements.
  • Good 10-key skills are required
  • Dedicated to superior client service.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills in the English language.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Able to gather and analyze information skillfully.


Education And Experience


  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Preference given to additional pertinent education and experience.


\ Physical Requirements:


  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift fifteen pounds at times.

\ Work Hours and Overtime:


  • Due to the nature of our business, additional and alternate work hours are occasionally required.
  • Standard office hours are 8:00 a.m. through 5:00 p.m. Monday Friday.
  • Extended hours are required at various other times throughout the year depending upon workload and client deadlines.


\ Travel Requirements:


  • Out-of-town travel is not normally required for this position.
  • All efforts will be made to give as much advance notice as possible for required travel.
