Job Description
A health services network in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to join their Women's Health team at one of their facilities in Queens. In this role, the Women's Health FNP will be responsible for providing comprehensive primary care services to women across their lifespan, including preventive care, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic illnesses.


About The Opportunity


  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Specialty: Women's Health
  • Call Schedule: No call or weekends
  • Hours: Standard business
  • Setting: Outpatient practice
  • Patient Population: Mix-payor mix with insurance and cash pay
  • Patient Volume: 20 per day
Responsibilities:


The Women's Health FNP Will Be Responsible For


  • Conducting physical exams, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, and prescribing medications
  • Collaborating with other healthcare providers to coordinate care and ensure the best possible outcomes for patients
  • Developing and implementing treatment plans for women with acute and chronic illnesses
  • Providing emotional support and counseling to patients and their families
  • Performing procedures such as pap smears, breast exams, and pelvic exams
  • Staying up-to-date on the latest research and trends in women's health and incorporating evidence-based practices into patient care
  • Advocating for women's health and reproductive rights
  • Perform other duties, as needed
  • Providing counseling and education on health issues, including contraceptive options, sexually transmitted infections, and menopause
Qualifications:


  • Great interpersonal skills
  • NYS Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) license
  • Strong atteniton to detail
  • Solid assessment, clinical, and documentation skills
  • Highly organized
  • Experience with Pap Smears, Breast Exams, Birth Control, etc.
  • 1+ year of experience in an Outpatient Women's Health setting
  • Patient oriented
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Active DEA registration
