Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic Vehicle Inspector/QAQC

Provide Maintenance Support for Patriot Weapon System focused on inspections, service, and repairs at Al Udeid Air Force Base (AUAB), Qatar.

The Inspector will perform technical, acceptance, final, and classification inspections on motor vehicles that include repairs, rebuilds, or overhauls on major assemblies of internal combustion automobiles, trucks, or tractors. The Inspector ensures the quality records, acceptance certificates, 2407, 5988E, 2404 are compiled and certificates and documentation for specific systems are prepared. Coordinate with the planning and scheduling departments to ensure milestone dates are understood for each inspected item. Sight lead/ PM is responsible for coordinating with their perspective Motor Sergeant or Maintenance Officer to ensure turn ins (TI) are completed and equipment is 10/20 standard. Resolve any discrepancies on the equipment and provide documentation. Review inspection and test equipment to insure it’s at 10/20 standard.

Special Requirements and Qualifications: Travel, Overtime as required to meet mission, must be able to lift, carry, manipulate equipment / TMDE, must be able to access PATRIOT MEIs to perform testing and data collection.

Required Skills: Prior military (Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 27X, 94S, 91B, 91D, 14E, 14T, 948D6D, 140E 140L.

Desired Skills:

Minimum Education: BS/BA and 10 years’ experience in related field; HS and 15 years of specialized military experience in related field.

Clearance: Secret
