Job Description
Major Responsibilities:
Supports the Director in the implementation of the System Core Vaccine strategy. This includes creation of vaccine specific material, maintenance of the SharePoint Site and data collection.
In collaboration with the Director supports achievement of annual goals for the program.
Works with Director and representatives from practice, education, pharmacy and HIT to disseminate new applicable vaccine related material through creation of new education documents and use of the SharePoint site.
In partnership with our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team as well as the Community liaisons, supports and helps to coordinate the work to promote vaccine availability and access to our vulnerable patients and community.
Supports the Director to establish, implement and/or assist with the development and review of vaccine program policies, procedures and order sets.
Collaborates with Director to create and update the quality and safety data. Supports the Director to facilitate improvements in quality and safety outcomes through the hospital quality improvement and safety process. Creates reports quality and safety data to the Quality and Safety Council annually.
Ensures all regulatory guidelines are completed.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices, or
Pharmacist license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, or
Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or related field.
Experience Required:
Typically requires 5 years of experience in clinical program coordination, project management and working with regulatory and accreditation requirements.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
Strong organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to multi-task to accomplish objectives and meet deadlines.
Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) or similar products.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to interact effectively with physicians, patient and other health care staff.
Ability to work independently.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Must be able to operate all equipment essential to performing the duties of the job.
Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and lift throughout the workday.
Occasionally lifts items weighing up to 20 lbs.
Must have functional sight, speech and hearing.
