UL Solutions’ Field Engineering team works on-site with our customers to understand their needs and how they meet the market's needs. We help to ensure that all certified products continue to comply with UL Solutions' requirements and partner with customers to help them meet their changing needs.
What you’ll learn & achieve::
Our Welding Technician and Inspector will be located in the Kewaunee, WI location. In this role you will use your welding and fabrication skills to inspect and oversee the building of fire truck apparatus.
  • Interprets and analyzes examination and test results against UL requirements, verifying the accuracy of manufacturers' measuring equipment and reviewing production and inspection records.
  • Integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.
  • Independently performs inspections of fire truck welded components.
  • Documents examination, variations and test results to appropriate UL forms. Maintains logs for scheduling inspections, time and expenses. Performs various calculations in more than one.
  • Uses instruments to perform inspections, such as micrometers, voltmeters, ammeters, and other UL supplied equipment. Confirms proper calibration of manufacturer's measuring equipment and may perform calibration of UL supplied equipment.
What makes you a great fit::
  • AAS in Non-Destructive Testing or General Mechanics preferred or general knowledge Non-Destructive Testing.
  • Strong verbal communications skills, and client-interfacing skills.
  • Ability to consistently lift up fire safety equipment averaging weight of 35-70 lbs without assistance.
  • Candidate must possess a strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and technical ability.
  • Ability to maneuver in confined spaces to conduct inspections on assembled and unassembled fire safety equipment.
This role will be in our Kewaunee, WI location. Second shift with pay differential.
