An exciting opportunity exists for a Welder to join our Atchison, Kansas location. The Welder role is to support plant production within the Cleaning department.
SHIFT: 2nd Shift (Will train on day shift for 90+ days)
PAY: $23.32
Purpose Statement: A cleaning welder will perform various production functions using various welding processes, air carbon arcing, cutting torch functions and operating various grinders.
Primary Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

• Ability to work independently or in a team environment
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with limited direct supervision
• Must Pass practical welding tests

Key Selection Criteria:

• High School Diploma/GED
• Ability to stand for long periods of time
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Ability to use all required personal protective equipment
• Ability to follow job safety analysis and work instructions

Preferred Qualities:

• 1-2 years welding experience preferred
• Operation and usage of Carbon Arc (Arc Air) for removal of defects and dressing preferred
• Knowledge of and ability to operate various grinders electric and pneumatic preferred
• Operation and usage of cutting torch preferred
• Operation of bridge cranes preferred
