As a Registered Nurse (RN), you’re the engine and the heart of patient care at Rochester Regional Health. PROGRAM DETAILS:
The Weekend Program requires employees to work all scheduled weekly hours between 7am Friday and 7am Tuesday for a minimum of 26 weeks. Employees are eligible to remain in the program permanently or after the 26 week minimum commitment return to a different schedule and shift. In addition to the Weekend Only add-on pay, employees in the program remain eligible for applicable premium pay (shift differential, overtime, etc.).

STATUS: Weekend Program - Full Time
DEPARTMENT: Positions are available on all of our Acute Care Units, including Emergency Department
SCHEDULE: All Shifts will be scheduled between 7am Friday and 7am Tuesday
ABOUT THE HOSPITAL:
Newark-Wayne, a 300-bed hospital in Wayne County, offers services including cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology, orthopedics and pulmonary care, as well as an innovative telemedicine program. The hospital has a renovated birthing center and emergency department. Newark-Wayne is a New York State-designated Stroke Center, a NICHE (Nurses Improving Care for Health system Elders) Exemplar hospital, and a recent recipient of the WHO Baby-Friendly designation. Rehabilitative and long-term care services are provided through DeMay Living Center, an attached facility.

ATTRIBUTES
- 1+ years of critical care RN experience preferred.
- Diploma or Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Registered Nurse license in New York State.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Documentation. Ensure concise, pertinent and complete patient care documentation using computerized medical record process
- Patient Satisfaction. Solicit and respond to patient feedback to improve service and processes that will enhance the patient experience
- Medication Administration & Reporting. Administer medication and give/receive relevant reports, both written and verbal
