Job Description

Title: Web Developer 2

Location: Remote (PST Candidates Only)

:

The Xbox Game Studios Publishing Team is looking for a talented web developer to build scalable, engaging, community-focused, user-friendly, and accessible websites. The ideal candidate has experience in both back-end & front-end development utilizing WordPress. The Publishing services team is focused on web content for XBOX video game sites. Their main focus is designing to inspire interest and consumer sign ups through the sites.


Responsibilities:

  • Translate desktop, tablet, and mobile designs into responsive & accessible templates
  • Own, troubleshoot & solve compliance, security and maintenance issues
  • Build custom API integrations with various services
  • Collaborate with our team of developers & designers with participation in code & design reviews
  • Develop & maintain custom community-focused WordPress-based websites

Required qualification:

  • Build custom API integrations with various services
  • Collaborate with our team of developers & designers with participation in code & design reviews
  • Own, troubleshoot & solve compliance, security and maintenance issues
  • Translate desktop, tablet, and mobile designs into responsive & accessible templates
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related degree, or equivalent work experience
  • Develop & maintain custom community-focused WordPress-based websites


Must have skills:

  • Familiarity with agile development processes
  • Working knowledge & usage of WordPress templates core functions, filters & actions
  • Experience with Sage & Blade templates
  • Experience with complex hosting environments
  • Solid PHP back-end development skills
  • Knowledge of user authentication and authorization
  • Deep understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
  • Familiarity with automated testing
