The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The above hiring range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Position Summary
Columbia University Libraries is a top-tier academic research library system, serving one of the world's most important centers of research and learning. Responsibilities
Plan and execute an ongoing maintenance of general content throughout the Libraries’ website system in collaboration with the Communications team and Web Services team. (40%)
Serve as the liaison between the Communications team and other teams or individuals within the organization concerning website content, video assets, and other visual communications assets. (30%)
Provide creative input and production support in developing promotional materials to various audiences, including students, faculty, staff, and alumni. (20%)
Assist with special projects or other responsibilities as assigned. (10% )
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent, plus at least 2-4 years of related experience. Content management system experience is necessary as is a general understanding of best practices in website copywriting, accessibility, and functionality. Some graphic design experience desired, plus familiarity with light video editing.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with current best practices in web accessibility (WCAG)
Experience with Adobe InDesign and Photoshop
Experience with Google Analytics or similar tools
Familiarity with search engine optimization (SEO) best practices
Experience in higher education or a similar industry
