Job Description

Web Analyst

Carnegie is seeking a Web Analyst to join our web division. As a web analyst, you'll join an experienced team of strategists, designers, and technologists to bring higher education brands to life on the web through elegant and immersive experiences.

Success in this role requires a client-focused approach, the ability to analyze complex or vague situations, and strong verbal and written communication skills. The web analyst will collaborate with colleagues across the web division and Carnegie to translate research, analytics, client goals, and customer needs into solutions that deliver results on university and college websites.

Key Responsibilities:

● Work with the web team to develop a broad and deep collective understanding of client needs, expectations, challenges, and opportunities for website redesigns and other web-related projects.

● Support client-facing stakeholder discovery sessions, interviews, and workshops.

● Moderate usability tests and synthesize the findings into detailed reports with recommended improvements.

● Review and provide feedback on design deliverables for UX, web accessibility best practices, and overall excellence.

● Conduct qualitative and quantitative research and data analysis, including running site analytics, to distill meaningful insights for client-facing reports and presentations.

● Develop personas and user journey maps in collaboration with web strategists.

● Develop slide decks, discussion or moderator guides for user sessions, and other supporting materials for client work. Support teammates as needed.

● Assist lead web strategists with their work, including formatting, proofreading, and general quality assurance, as needed.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

● You believe in the power of education.

● You are a skilled web professional with at least two years of demonstrated success in user research, usability, and design.

● You possess working knowledge of web accessibility best practices.

● You are a strategic thinker with a demonstrated ability to think analytically and conceptually.

● You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

● You can confidently navigate all types of user research in person, online, one-on-one, and group settings.

● You are curious, like working with people, and enjoy learning new skills.

● You possess excellent organizational and prioritization skills and can manage several projects simultaneously.

● You can work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.

● You are up for a challenge and ready to execute projects quickly and accurately.

● You are familiar with using Google Analytics and conducting statistical analysis.

● You are familiar with UX design and research tools such as Sketch, Marvel or InVision, Optimal Workshop, and Slickplan.

● Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.

● Travel required; up to 25%
