Water Resources Designer Jobs

ABOUT THE POSITION

VHB’s Virginia Beach, VA office is seeking an Entry-Level Water Resources Designer to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct data collection and field work
• Analysis of impaired watersheds and identification of potential areas for stormwater treatment
• Support projects related to stormwater permitting compliance for municipal, industrial and transportation clients
• Prepare reports for stormwater analyses and designs
• Work within a team of professionals in developing site civil engineering plans and specifications for a multitude of environmental, land development, transportation, and water resources projects
• Conduct a wide array of water resources related studies and analysis including: Hydrologic and hydraulic analysis of stormwater systems, analysis and design of conveyance systems, design of stormwater management facilities, coastal impacts, and floodplain analysis

Qualifications

• FE preferred
• BS in Civil Engineering
• Familiarity with stormwater management design, Low Impact Development/green infrastructure design, floodplain management, storm sewer design, grading and site design
• Familiarity with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and analysis, water quality analysis
• 0-1 years of professional environmental/civil engineering experience
