The City of Dublin is proud to possess a team of highly trained and passionate Water Fitness Instructors who are dedicated to teaching patrons on effective workout methods, explaining and demonstrating proper techniques of exercises, identifying different muscle groups, and teaching appropriate methods to strengthen specific muscles.
Under the direction of the Aquatics Program Coordinator, these specialty instructors lead aquatic group classes in a safe and positive environment that promotes the City of Dublin core values. The indoor pools at the Dublin Community Recreation Center operate year round, while the Dublin Community North and South outdoor pools are open during the summer season. The scheduling process is very flexible and we offer a variety of shifts including days, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Assist patrons, answer questions, and maintain a positive exercise experience for members and class participants.
• Teach scheduled classes, beginning and ending on time.
• Teach with encouragement and positive reinforcement.
• Provide competent and safe instruction to all participants.
• Provide adequate warm-up, exercise, stretching, and cool down time.
• Set-up any needed equipment prior to class and clean up equipment at the conclusion of class.
• Assist in the development, planning, and organization of your classes.

• Current certification in CPR/AED/First Aid or ability to obtain certification within 30 days of hire.
• Experience in Water Fitness programs desirable.
• Current Aquatics Exercise Association (AEA) certification, or ability to obtain certification within 1 year of hire.
