Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
This hourly, non-exempt position provides assistance to the Parts, Billing, Parts Sales and Accounting Departments and requires knowledge of aviation parts, aviation maintenance functions, warranty processes, purchasing, accounting and inventory control. Duties include, but are not limited to, completing core and return to vendor paperwork as required, and processing spares warranty. Direction of duties will be assigned daily. Work closely with others in a team atmosphere. Will be in daily contact with customers and vendors directly and also via phone and e-mail.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide application instruction for credits and invoices to accounting.
  • Communicate extensively with all vendors and customers on all core and return to vendor situations.
  • Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
  • Research open spares warranty, core, and return to vendor claims and issue credit or debit to customer or vendor offset accounts.
  • Process spares warranty claims with parts and service vendors as well as providing internal service to parts, billing department, and accounting.
  • Assess core billback and denied return fees fees per vendor guidelines and bill accordingly.
  • Maintain all records of rotable and return to vendor transactions
  • Creating invoices for additional charges and non-return of cores
  • Process return to vendor paperwork and scan back up for follow up

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills.

Customer service-oriented.

Knowledge of warranty and accounting processes preferred.

Working knowledge of computers required.

Physical Requirements

Lift at least 50 lbs.

Routine walking, bending, squatting and sitting.

Routine or repetitive physical motion with arms and hands.

Intermediate personal computer operations.

Requirements:

Self-motivated and able to maintain a rapid pace.

Strong, flexible attitude and able to prioritize .

Process daily work with minimum supervision.

Well organized with strong attention to detail.

Strong work ethic.

Responsibility

Attend work every day as scheduled to include overtime and weekend assignments.

Notify supervisor in advance of shift starting if unable to work.

Must have reliable transportation to get to work each and every day.

Work in a team environment

Self-starter

Follow West Star Repair Station Manual guidelines to assure traceable and certified products are bought and sold.

Assist in parts inventory management.

Required to follow all processes and procedures in a timely manner.

Responsible for filing warranty claims on fragile, expensive aircraft components.

Personal computer operating with Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Corridor and various cost and scheduling programs. Fax machine, telephone and photocopier.
