Summary
The principal role of the Warehouse Specialist Clerk is to manage all activities around shipping and receiving from Manufacturing, Ensure Trade Compliance, and provide on demand support of warehouse team. Accountable to internal customers needs and that company policy and international trade compliance regulations are adhered to. Essential Responsibilities:
- Ensure Trade Compliance, lead AEO program
- Ensure shipment receipts on time and high quality of shipment by having lowest price
- Responsible for all activities around shipping / receiving
- Importation/Exportation including necessary paperwork
- Register shipment receipts by freight forwarder
- Internal and external contact person for all shipping / receiving questions
- Follow up on shipment / receiving issues
- Receiving Shipping items in ERP system/Material transactions
- Perform warehouse distribution, storaging, process improvement duties in compliance with current GDP as per annual GDP Training and local procedures; leveraging or through the use of manufacturing tools and concepts.
- Coordination of shipments including paperwork / receiving trucks schedules and documentation
- Work with global teams on global initiatives
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years export/shipping operations experience, import/receiving experience or order management or materials handler experience.
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, global team environment
- Need to be able to prioritize work and multi-task
- Proactively follow up on open issues
- Willingness to work extended hours, overtime & weekends during peak times of the year
- High School Diploma or local equivalent
Desired Characteristics:
- Solid communication and analytical skills, including experience with communicating with others from different counties and cultures.
- Associates in Logistics, Materials or Supply Chain Management
- Oracle order management experience.
- Proven ability to build relationships with remote colleagues
- Proven ability to execute, multi-task, and deliver on commitments
- Ability to energize, develop and build rapport at all levels within the organization
- Six Sigma Green Belt certified.
- Demonstrated aptitude and success in fostering solid, value-based relationships with internal and external customers
- Experience working in a compliant supply chain
