Location: Long Island City, NY (Ann Sacks Warehouse)
Shift: Mon - Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm
Status: Full Time / 40 hours per week
Pay: $21-24 hourly, depending on experience
OPPORUNITY:
Ann Sacks (a division of Kohler Co.) is a leading distributor and manufacturer of luxury tile, stone, and plumbing. We are currently hiring at our newest showroom / slab gallery location in Long Island City (Queens), and looking for hard-working, driven, and dependable individuals to be a part of our team!
The Slab Handler (Warehouse-3) position contributes to the overall slab warehouse operation, safety operating a forklift and other warehouse duties as assigned.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Wrap and secure orders for shipment.
- Properly palletizes orders.
- Lift 45–50-pound boxes 10-15 times per hour.
- Practice and follow all required safety regulations.
- Perform all duties as assigned by supervisor (including Process Leads).
- Become familiar with part numbers and material descriptions.
- Safely and efficiently operate a forklift. On and off forklift multiple times per day.
- Job requires repetitive lifting of up to 20-70 pounds.
- Keep equipment, tools, and workspace in clean, safe working condition.
- Verify LTL shipments are properly loaded, and Bills of Lading are correct.
- Assist Will-Call customers with pick-up and loading of purchases.
- Ensure orders are properly labeled for shipment.
- Ensure orders are pulled accurately and efficiently.
Skills/Requirements
- Ability to perform essential duties of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Consistent attendance record and adherence to the attendance policy for Ann Sacks.
- High School degree or GED preferred.
- Forklift experience required.
- Ability to follow all safety policies and procedures.
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a manufacturing, production, ceramics, or warehousing environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively for safe slab handling.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT:
This position requires frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching. Regularly lifting of 20-30 pounds, occasionally 50 + pounds.
