Position Description


Position Title: Warehouse Shipping Coordinator (Logistics Technician)


Department: Office


Reports To: Director of IT


Position Summary: NMA is a unique, niche medical company. We provide professional services associated with intraoperative neuromonitoring. We value our employees and recognize and reward hard work. This hands-on individual will lead by example while maintaining a safe and stabilized work environment. Will assist with all shipping, receiving, storage and distribution activities of the warehouse. Ensures products, materials, or supplies are shipped, distributed, or received in an efficient manner. Responsible for taking precautions to secure warehouse contents against loss. Evaluate inventory on hand and prepare or review distribution documents.

  • Forklift Certification preferred
  • Strong understanding of warehousing, inventory control, shipping/receiving and general logistics fundamentals

  • Ability to pull together many sources of information to help prioritize and lead operations
  • A self-starter, forward thinking person with strong leadership capabilities


Description


Drive best practices for warehouse logistics operations & reporting. Works well with peers to insure and assist with the shipment or receipt of outbound or inbound materials, parts, or products. Maintains accountability for receiving, storing, and delivering all inbound shipments. Ensures the accuracy of all receiving documents and collects and matches forms (PO, packing slip, computer printout) relative to receiving activities. Studies operational procedures for efficiency. Examines outbound shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications. Suggests improvements to operational procedures and acts to improve timeliness or save costs. Tracks and documents all shipping or receiving information for the data center. Prepares outbound parcels and freight in accordance with local, company and legal requirements. Completes reports for management. Maintains communication and engagement with management, vendors, and internal customers.


Education & Experience


High School Diploma or Bachelor’s degree recommended


Experience with Helpdesk or Ticketing System a plus


Additional Requirements


  • Provide support to end users and respond to Help Desk tickets
  • Self-motivated problem-solver with professional demeanor.
  • Drives personal vehicle for the purpose of transporting supplies, mail, materials, equipment, to designated sites or local FedEx/UPS shipping facility if needed
  • Basic typing and keyboarding skills with a minimum of 30 wpm
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Responsible and dependable.
  • Ability to use whatever tools and equipment is available to get the job done.
  • Must be able to seek assistance from Manager if delays arise or are repetitive.
  • Strong communication skills, oral and written, over the phone and in person are essential
  • Valid driver’s license is required
  • Strong work ethic and flexibility required
  • Analytical skills experience and sound judgment to make decisions.
  • The ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Knowledgeable in multiple Microsoft OS’s and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Demonstrate objectivity, professionalism, integrity and honesty in dealing with people at all levels and facilitate an open and honest environment.
  • The ability to achieve cooperation and collaboration among team members.
  • Friendly helpful attitude.


Working Conditions:


  • Requires being available during non-scheduled work time
  • Regular work in a warehouse setting: frequently lifting, stooping/bending, squatting/crouching, balancing; lifting and carrying 50 lbs.; sufficient mobility to enter/exit vehicles and drive to various locations


Physical Demands:


  • Ability to lift a maximum of fifty (50) pounds.
  • Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time


Work schedule: Onsite, Monday – Friday with flexible hours.
