This position will be responsible for all material control functions including shipping, receiving, maintaining rack storage locations, labeling, wrapping and packing finished goods and incoming raw materials. This person will also work closely with the Production and Batching teams to ensure that the production line and batching tower is constantly supplied with the required raw materials.
Your responsibilities:
  • Be an effective trainer for new hires.
  • Comply with all DOT handling and shipping regulatory requirements for Hazardous Materials.
  • Responsible for package preservation which includes the shrink wrapping, banding, and staging of all finished goods.
  • Comply with all Federal regulatory Hazardous Waste procedures as well as all local and state regulatory requirements.
  • Be or become certified for all industrial equipment required to operate their position. This will include sit down electric forklifts, electric reach trucks, and electric pallet trucks.
  • Assist in performing physical inventories.
  • Responsible for the put-away of all raw materials and finished goods. This includes using scanning equipment that is tied into DSI/JDE One World and labeling raw materials and finished goods.
Requirements for the role:
  • 1-2 years’ experience in shipping, receiving, and inventory control, preferably in a warehouse in a manufacturing environment.
  • Some experience with automated inventory control and scanning systems desired.
  • Must be able to lift heavy objects (50 lbs.) on a regular and consistent basis.
  • Experience operating forklifts & pallet jacks is highly desired.
  • Ability to work any shift including a 2-2-3 patterned schedule.
  • Good communication skills along with the ability to work well as a member of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
