What You’ll Do As a CNC Operator

• Quality Control: Efficiently operate CNC machines in order to attain the required precision for each job. Prior to cutting, review the shop drawings & templates to ensure the parts and program are correct.
• General Duties: Efficiently set up, operate, and break down CNC machines for natural stone and manufactured surface projects. Trained candidates will be able to perform required operations, including loading and unloading of parts (stone countertops) and part inspection (quality control). They will be able to move/transport parts to the appropriate location as needed.
• Wear proper PPE such as steel toe and/or metatarsal shoes, protective eyewear, hearing protection, protective goggles, masks, gloves, etc. move/transport parts to the appropriate locations as needed.
• Stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing handling & repetitive motions on a regular basis
• Safety: Maintain an efficient, clean & organized work area in compliance with all applicable Federal, state, and local & OSHA regulations. Conduct production operations wearing required safety gear in accordance with OSHA requirements.
• The typical noise level for this job is loud to very loud, on a regular basis.
• Operation of Equipment: Responsible for the daily maintenance and safe operation of all equipment assigned to you. Maintain a clean and safe work area and reported repairs as needed. Operate and maintain all equipment assigned to you in accordance with operating manuals and procedures.

Work Experience

The preferred candidate might:

• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Possess a high work ethic, moral and personal integrity and honesty.
• Prepare to pass a background check.
• Prepare to perform drug test.
• Experience to add, subtract, multiply & divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions & decimals.
