Job Overview:
LPL Financial technology team is looking for a dynamic leader to lead the Resource Vendor Management function enabling an optimized engagement model with key vendor partners managing seamless delivery across onsite, nearshore, and offshore locations. This role will report to the “Head of IT Vendor and Asset Management” within the Technology Foundations and Growth organization.
As VP, Resource Vendor responsible for managing preferred vendor partners, Contracts, onboarding, Performance management, Relationship, Risk management, and Financial control for resources (T&M Contracts and Statement of Work contracts). As a strategic leader you will be responsible for establishing the vision and maturing the function that ensures effective process and support for managing compliance, risk management/mitigation, cost optimization, financial insights, and deeper resource vendor partnership maximizing value.
Responsibilities:
  • Fosters a collaborative environment that enables improved engagement and value delivery by the resource vendor partners.
  • Collaborates and partners with Procurement, Sourcing, Legal, Architecture, and IT delivery leadership to conduct contract due diligence, establish clear metrics of success and help evaluate performance on a regular basis. Ensures vendor performance assessment and manages risk proactively.
  • Creates reports and leads the transformation across technology leaders and vendor partners with data and facts.
  • Coach, mentor, and lead a high-performing team with direct and indirect responsibility to deliver on the objectives.
  • Establish strong financial control driving transparency and accountability.
  • Builds deeper partnerships with critical vendors and facilities Quarterly business reviews maximizing the value through increased collaboration.
  • Establish the vision and roadmap for the Resource Vendor management function maximizing the value through improved transparency driving accountability and reducing risk.

Requirements:
  • 7+ years as Resource Vendor Management Leader developing, cultivating, and leading strong, high-performing teams driving maturity of the function.
  • 10+ years of experience in Resource Vendor Management roles supporting Onshore, Nearshore, and Offshore resource vendors within large institutions.
  • Strong process leader who is detail oriented with demonstrated expertise in contract agreements and risk management.
Core Competencies:
  • Strategic leader who anticipates the future, and inspires the team to deliver exceptional results within established timelines/budget
  • Actively anticipates, identifies, and manages risks within the position scope and at the company.
  • Flexibility and organizational change management experience.
  • Expert communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to create/present executive presentations and serve as one of the recognized subject matter experts on the team.
  • Data-driven leader who establishes OKRs, KPIs, and transparent reporting to demonstrate progress.
  • Ability to create a strategy/plan based on the data to drive results.
  • Strong operational experience in large complex environments.
  • The ability to work in a cross-functional team and drive outcomes without having direct authority.
Preferences:
  • Expert consensus-builder who drives change across initiatives within and outside direct accountability and evaluates solutions to the most complex business challenges.
  • Experience setting up offshore and/or nearshore development center is a plus.
Pay Range:
$141,240-$211,860/year
The salary range is dependent on a number of factors, including the applicant’s skill, experience, and work location.
