Responsibilities:
- Partner with senior management to analyze financial performance and develop strategies to improve profitability and growth.
- Manage the financial due diligence process for potential mergers and acquisitions, including valuation analysis and deal structuring.
- Strategic management of the company balance sheet, identifying improvements through tactical actions
- Administer the organizational delegation of authority, balancing risk mitigation with efficiency.
- Cultivate banking and lender relationships.
- Mentor, lead and develop the financial team to ensure that they are meeting their performance goals and contributing to the overall success of the company.
- Oversee and strategically manage company credit facilities.
- Manage cash flow and forecasting to ensure the company has adequate liquidity to meet the financial obligations of its business strategy.
- Manage the implementation of financial systems, including accounting software, to streamline operations and improve efficiency while positioning for growth.
- Prepare and present financial reports to key stakeholders.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee strategic direction and all operational aspects of accounting and finance.
- Implement creative solutions to leverage the supply chain for optimization.
- Manage real estate leases and organizational capital expenditure programs.
- Manage the performance of company accounting vendor(s) and ensure services are value add.
- Oversee LSC insurance programs in compliance with client contractual requirements while identifying and implementing solutions balancing risk with cost.
- Ensure compliance with corporate tax regulations and develop tax planning strategies to minimize tax liability.
Requirements:
- CPA and/or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of 20 years of progressive experience in financial management, including experience in system implementation, financial reporting, supply chain management, corporate tax, cash flow management, and forecasting.
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions is a plus.
- Expertise in accounting principles and compliance requirements.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate, mentor, and develop a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- High level of integrity, confidentiality, accountability and interpersonal skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
