Job Description
Role Purpose
Drive overall net system size growth for the managed estate in the Americas by accelerating hotel construction and openings and managing the hotel life cycle, as well as successfully delivering on capital projects and renovations.
Key Accountabilities
  • Leading Managed Projects leaders responsible for capital projects involving IHG Investment (often $20M+ per renovation and more than 100 HPT renovations with $30M+ capex reinvestment annually. This includes financial control and decision-making accountability for capex project budgets.
  • Leading Premium, Lifestyle and Franchised Luxury NHOP team to ensure delivery of high-quality openings and ramp-up.
  • Leading the strategy to accelerate signings to openings pace by evaluating roles, processes and systems, and implementing/embedding approved recommendations.
  • Leading Premium, Lifestyle and Franchised Luxury PIP and Plan Review to ensure delivery of high-quality renovations and repositioning.
  • Working with Operations to ensure hotels coming out of PIP are successfully managed, achieving high quality on-brand and on-time re-openings.
Key Skills & Experiences
Educational Attainment:
  • Bachelor’s or master's degree in business, Finance, Real Estate or related disciplines or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA preferred.
Critical Expertise & Experience:
  • Successful experience in managing large, complex projects, working cross-functionally to deliver aligned objectives and creating or launching cross-functional processes/ways of working with internal and external stakeholders.
  • 10+ years progressively responsible experience in brand management, franchising operations or other related disciplines
  • Strong influencing/consensus building and analytical skills.
  • Strong leadership, team building, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking through a proven ability to analyze process, performance data, and owner/business issues and draw insight and conclusions.
