Voice Engineer - One Year Only

Wilton Woods Center

Description

Performs the specialized engineering activities required to analyze, plan, design, implement, and inspect internet protocol (IP) voice and data networks and related voice and data electronic systems and applications.

Qualifications

Required

  • Knowledge of principles and practice of engineering design and functionality of IP voice and data networks and legacy Private Branch eXchange systems.
  • Five (5) years of progressively more responsible voice and data network communications experience, two (2) years of which shall have been as a network engineer.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Knowledge of industry-standard network protocols, data communications facilities, systems, interfaces, and federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations applicable to communications systems operations and transmission.
  • Ability to write reports, specifications, contract documents, and formulate life cycle projections.
  • Knowledge of the theory and practice of the functional applications for voice and data network engineering.

Preferred

  • Certifications in current technologies.
