Visitor Services Attendant (Shaw Nature Reserve)

We are currently seeking a hardworking and dedicated Seasonal Visitor Services Attendant who will provide welcoming experiences to all of our visitors!
Salary: $15.30 per hour to start
Schedule: Temporary Part-Time (average 24 hours/week), 5-6 hours/shift, Willing to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Job Responsibilities

• Maintains a neat and clean Visitor Services’ work area at all times.
• Welcomes, directs, admits, and provides information to visitors from the visitor center.
• Processes admission, merchandise, and membership sales.
• Responds effectively to unanticipated situations.
• Drives truck while hauling the wagon or provides narration on the wagon during wagon tours.
• Works with other staff in facilitating logistical arrangements for school programs and special events.
• Ensures that all applicable safety standards are followed.
• Performs opening and closing duties.
• Behaves and communicates in a manner that promotes and fosters a culture of teamwork and cooperation.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Must be punctual, dependable, and possess the ability to effectively multi-task and work under minimal supervision.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly.
• Must have experience using Microsoft suite (i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word) and sales software, as well as general typing skills and comfort with touch screen monitor.

Ability and willingness to work in varying temperatures and all weather conditions.
