POSITION OVERVIEW
1/ST EXPERIENCE is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the 1/ST creative department as our Video Production & Editing Director to shoot and edit content for the portfolio of 1/ST’s venues and events including its marquee events - the Pegasus World Cup and Preakness Stakes, in addition to year-round entertainment, marketing and hospitality initiatives. This includes working closely with the creative team within the marketing department for 1/ST Racing & Gaming and being agile and nimble in our story telling capability across social media platforms, paid social, and broadcast/simulcast content channels.
A significant component of the position includes editing footage from past events, managing content in our data asset management (DAM) content library, creating short-form dynamic content, collaboration with our graphic design team, and marketing team to inspire consumers to take action, purchase tickets, visit our venues, and attend our events.
We are looking for someone who is skilled about shooting video and editing. Someone that is equally interested in sport, sport personalities, and entertainment. Someone that can explore new tactics. Someone who thrives equally in shooting exciting events on site, in addition to editing footage to bring out the best content.
RESPONSIBLITIES
  • Collaborate with the Media Production team to develop content storylines for short-form and longer narrative videos targeted for social media platforms.
  • Utilize sound editing techniques, motion graphics, and visual effects to enhance the quality and impact of the videos.
  • Manage and organize video assets, maintaining an efficient and accessible media library.
  • Edit video footage efficiently using industry-standard editing software to produce visually compelling content tailored for broadcast, web, and social media distribution.
  • Operate video cameras to capture high-quality footage in various settings, including but not limited to sports events, lifestyle shoots, entertainment productions, and Thoroughbred race tracks.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including the Marketing, Content, and Social Media teams, to ensure video content aligns with overall marketing strategies.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, video editing techniques, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance video production processes.
  • Ensure that videos adhere to brand guidelines and maintain a consistent style and tone.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Film Production, Media Arts, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
  • Advanced knowledge of industry-standard video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer.
  • Excellent storytelling abilities and a keen eye for capturing compelling visuals.
  • Demonstrated ability to craft engaging content storylines and adapt them to different video formats.
  • Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong understanding of social media platforms, their video requirements, and best practices for content optimization.
  • Proven experience as a video camera operator and editor, with a strong portfolio showcasing your skills in shooting and editing across various genres.
  • Proficiency in operating professional video cameras, lenses, lighting equipment, and other related tools.
  • Solid understanding of video production techniques, including camera movements, framing, composition, and lighting.

POSITION DETAILS
Role: Video Production & Editing Director – “Preditor”
Location: 1/ST Corporate Office (901 S. Federal Highway, Hallandale Beach, FL 33009)
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday (9am to 6pm). Flexibility in schedule and hours depending on priorities. Occasional travel required (mostly to our venues for various events)
Work Terms: Full-Time Salaried position, at will employment
Equipment: Camera and editing equipment will be provided by Company
