The San Francisco 49ers are looking for a Video Operations Manager that is passionate about being a part of a team. This position is responsible for assisting the video operations department in shooting and editing video of practices, games, and player workouts for coaches. This position will be responsible for maintaining the video library and assisting with special coaching & personnel projects as needed.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Loads game film onto Coaches/Players iPads before taking off for road games. When arriving back at the stadium, sending each phase to the CGE Network Cloud for Club Exchange.
- Manages the Video Operation department’s responsibilities in the coaching booth on game day. This includes providing necessary equipment to coaching staff and coordinating the team’s Sideline Viewing System.
- Assists with League video requests.
- Assists all players with iPads for use in film study and meetings.
- Schedules annual maintenance visits for practice and meeting room equipment.
- Films practice using the 8K mastRcams or hand-held cameras in various locations of the practice fields, and edits all practice film.
- Manages the daily setup/breakdown of practice equipment. Manages DVSport Rewind system for practice.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Coordinates the Video Operation department’s weekly support of team meetings. This includes preparing laptops to travel with video content and documents for meetings, and all necessary equipment for the football operation to work remotely, occasionally for extended periods of time.
- Films off-season workouts and practices.
- Organizes football staff’s video needs for various clinics and chalk talks. This includes traveling to remote events.
- Assists the Vice President of Football Technology/Video and Video Director in providing video services to The Club.
- Films the game for each 49ers game. Postgame: edits the game, breaking it down to each phase OFF/DEF/ST.
- Assists coaches and the scouting department in preparing for the NFL draft. This includes cataloguing all college football games, creating cutups as requested, traveling to the NFL combine, and providing technical support for all evaluation meetings.
Required Abilities and Skills:
- Must be motivated, reliable, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Communicates orally and in writing in a clear, concise, and impartial manner.
- Ability to achieve planned objectives through completing relevant tasks and focus.
- Ability to maintain a professional approach in all interactions with staff, players, and coaches.
- Organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively, while balancing and prioritizing multiple or competing tasks.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; preferred areas of study include videography, digital media, sports management, radio/television, and film.
- Knowledgeable in configuring and troubleshooting private computer networks.
- Experience filming practices and games, as well as editing and logging the footage using sports analysis video software.
- Familiarity with various softwares, including but not limited to: Microsoft Office Suite; Microsoft SQL Server; Google G-Suite products; DVSport GameDay or Catapult Thunder; MDM applications; DVSport Rewind.
- At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience.
- Experience operating professional and pan-tilt-zoom video cameras, and recording equipment.

The employee will be sitting in a typical office environment the majority of the time and will be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
This employee will be required to work on-site in Santa Clara, California and travel to away games during the NFL season.
This position requires the ability and willingness to work non-traditional hours within a team environment. This includes evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Travel:
20% of travel time expected for this position.
Compensation:
$75-90k annually DOE
