Video Editor (Part-Time) Jobs

Job Type: Video Editor

Location: Remote (ideally Woodstock, NY)

Salary: $35 per hour

Our Silent Canvas (OSC), a non-profit record label and production company based in Woodstock, NY, is seeking creative and experienced video editors to join our production team. This part-time role involves video editing of performance and social media content, managing film shoots both in the studio and on location (if on-site), and providing general studio assistance. The ideal candidate should have extensive experience in video editing, and preferably audio editing as well.

Key Responsibilities:

• Video and audio editing and production
• Social media content creation

Essential Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Familiarity with both Mac and PC computers
• Expert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Ableton Live, and Pro Tools
• Experience with Slack, Dropbox, Google Calendars, Spreadsheets, Excel, Pages, and Microsoft Word

Preferred Skills:

• Creative video editing experience
• Experience in the arts or music industry

Personal Attributes:

• Demonstrates a high level of honesty and integrity in all actions and interactions
• Ability to maintain focus and keep project members on schedule
• Comfortable working in a quiet, solitary setting and respecting the necessary silence and solitude of artistic life and recording studios
• Capacity to follow instructions clearly
• Tremendous organizational skills
• Positive and enthusiastic with a strong, yet kind, personality
