Bloomberg LP has built a significant media business spanning television, digital, magazine, radio and live event platforms across the globe. In the midst of a historic time in the media industry, Bloomberg Media is growing its global footprint and reach through new innovations.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years editing experience, ideally working on studio-based shows together with long-form interviews and discussion programming. They must have a complete understanding of the post-production process and an impressive resume demonstrating their work with modern journalism outlets and be passionate about the post-production workflow process.

The candidate should be an expert in Adobe Premiere and proficient in After Effects, Photoshop and Frame.io.

This person will be leading a team of editors and coordinate delivery across productions and act as a point of contact for colleagues and the leadership team. They will be known for having a meticulous attention to detail and must understand the technical demands of QCing a show for broadcast.

Fantastic communication skills and transparency are essential in this role. The editor will be able to spot, flag and deal with problems, refer up and work with all colleagues to troubleshoot and time manage projects. They will raise the bar on content production, bringing creative and editorial input to edits, work in a collaborative way and achieve gold-level standards across all content production. They will innovate and be able to push the boundaries in terms of how shows look on air.

Additionally, this person must be proficient in all aspects of a modern post-production workflow including dynamically linked assets, various server protocols, proxy creation, and media management.

CANDIDATES WITH THE FOLLOWING SKILLS WILL BE PRIORITIZED:

• Conforming
• Familiarity with various file formats (IMF, ProRes, scc, dxfp, pac, itt), standards, resolutions, frame rates, etc
• Pre-Production planning
• Broadcast standards
• Familiarity with video mastering and localization processes a plus
• Davinci Resolve experience an advantage
• Studio based show editing
• Understanding of broadcast scopes and monitors
• Narrative long and short form editing
• Creative problem solving
• Experience with digital video/audio encoding systems
• Color grading
• Audio design and mixing

Salary Range: 85,000 - 120,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus

The referenced salary range is based on the Company's good faith belief at the time of posting. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, work experience, market conditions, education/training and skill level.
