Are you interested in assisting crime victims with their rights and services? If so, the Office of Victim Advocate is looking for a Victim Assistance Director!
As the Victim Assistance Director, you will be responsible for providing direction to staff and other state and local agencies and organizations relevant to victim's rights and services. These duties include ensuring state and federal legislation is complied with, along with developing programs, policies, procedures, and standards for the delivery of services to victims.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- You will receive further communication regarding this position via email. Check your email, including spam/junk folders, for these notices.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.
- Work hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 1-hour lunch.
- Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to two days a week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.
- Full-time employment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- An equivalent combination of experience and training which includes four years of professional social service, counseling, or crisis intervention experience involving crime victim services, three of which must include direct services to crime victims.
- One year as a Victim Assistance Supervisor; or
- Four years of professional social service, counseling, or crisis intervention experience involving crime victim services, three of which must include direct services to crime victims, and a bachelor’s degree in sociology, counseling, psychology, or a related area; or
- You must be able to perform essential job functions.
- Previous experience supervising staff.
- Previous experience working in the criminal or juvenile justice system.
- Previous experience working in a professional social services, counseling, or crisis intervention involving victims services.
- Previous experience working in direct services to crime victims.
- Willingness and ability to work in, and commute to office location in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania and travel as necessary.
- You must pass a background investigation.
