Vice President Operations Jobs

Growth-oriented renewable energy manufacturing company that produces top of the line energy products. This company has received significant investment within the last decade and is looking for a VP of Operations who has experience building and managing successful teams within a production environment, as well as managing KPIs and hiring process.

Responsibilities:

P&L Management:

• Monitor key financial metrics and make data-driven decisions to optimize operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
• Collaborate with the executive team to establish budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with company goals.
• Develop and execute strategies to achieve financial targets and maximize profitability.

Operations Leadership:

• Oversee end-to-end manufacturing operations, including production planning, supply chain management, quality assurance, and logistics.
• Drive the implementation of best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity.
• Implement performance metrics and KPIs to monitor operational performance and ensure adherence to production schedules.

Team Management and Development:

• Build and lead a high-performing operations team, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
• Provide mentorship, guidance, and performance feedback to team members, facilitating their professional growth and development.
• Foster cross-functional collaboration with other departments, such as engineering, sales, and finance, to drive alignment and achieve operational objectives.

Hiring and Talent Acquisition:

• Implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge, ensuring a highly competent workforce.
• Collaborate with HR to design effective recruitment processes, conduct interviews, and select qualified candidates for key operational roles.
• Develop and execute talent acquisition strategies to attract and retain top industry talent.

Compliance and Safety:

• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and certifications applicable to renewable energy product manufacturing.
• Establish and maintain a strong focus on workplace safety, implementing protocols and initiatives to mitigate risks and maintain a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and lean principles.
• Proven experience (8+ years) in senior operations leadership roles within the manufacturing industry, preferably in renewable energy or related sectors.
• Demonstrated track record of successfully managing P&L, driving profitability, and achieving financial targets.
• Experience implementing continuous improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma or Kaizen.
• Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams.
