Location: Saddle Brook, NJ

Company Profile: A consumer goods organization specializing in home products is looking to add a Vice President of Supply Chain to their team. This person will be responsible for owning the end-to-end Supply Chain function, from sourcing through final delivery, working hand-in-hand with their Sales & Product Management teams to ultimately meet the needs of their customers and build a long term competitive advantage for the organization in managing and continually optimizing a robust and dynamic international supply chain. This will include building out new teams, process improvement, introduction of new technology, implementing KPIs and more.

The Vice President of Supply Chain will Be Responsible For the Following:

• Establish an S&OP function for inventory planning and management
• Assess, hire, train, develop, evaluate, coach, and mentor all staff within the Supply Chain & Logistics function. Solid line responsibility of US based teams in procurement, planning & logistics with a dotted line of foreign teams
• Lead global warehouse footprint optimization initiatives, including sourcing and combining warehouses in strategic locations
• Define and track KPIs for supplier and carrier performance and monitor performance against these metrics, and enforce conformance
• Develop and maintain a system of data accuracy for supply chain visibility, including a visibility took accessible by internal customers
• Move toward KPI and budget driven management of supply chain & logistics operations, and drive demonstrated improvement along various KPIs over time through process improvements, personnel changes, software changes, and more

The Vice President of Supply Chain Should Have the Following Qualifications:

• Expertise with global sourcing and managing an international supplier base
• High energy, go-getter, entrepreneurial mentality
• Strategic thinker with strong instincts for overall business development
• Bachelor’s Degree required, MBA or other relevant advanced degree is a plus
• 15+ years experience in supply chain & logistics with progressively expanding roles
• Comfortable with an entrepreneurial, flat-hierarchy organization with some degree of ambiguity in functional responsibilities; focus on making an impact and getting the job done with a bias for action
• Expertise with S&OP and working capital management

This is a full time permanent position that will be a hybrid role (Monday-Thursday on site, Friday from home) and is based in Saddle Brook, NJ.
