Reports To: President/CEO and Governing Board


Status: 80 hours EXEMPT per two week pay period


Shift: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm


Job Schedule: Full time


Weekly Hours: 40 hours

Statement Of Purpose


HRMC is seeking a self-motivated, resourceful and forward-thinking nursing leader to join our leadership team. This individual will create context for complex problems, positioning issues in a solution-based manner that can be adopted by a large workforce. Integrate a culture of quality that supports safe patient care. Commit to measurable, sustainable change that positively impacts the process of care delivery. Collaborate and partner with all caregivers throughout the continuum of care to manage/move the patient towards maintaining physical functionality. This position is accountable for effective operations, administration and evaluation of hospital services including dialysis, emergency services, home care/hospice, med/surg/intensive care units, obstetrical unit, surgery, respiratory care/cardiac rehab and social services. Possesses strong leadership, project-management, communication and judgement skills.

Requirements


  • Requires a high degree of social sensitivity and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with clients, groups of clients, and health care personnel within and outside the agency. Proceeds on own initiative, exercises independent judgement. Demonstrates leadership abilities; possesses good oral and written communication skills.
  • Current licensure as an RN in the state South Dakota.
  • Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in health care management.
  • Knowledge of current trends in nursing/health care.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required. Master of Science in Nursing or other related field preferred. or a commitment to complete the degree.


Working Conditions


  • Work often involves interactions with staff and others.
  • Work involves one-on-one contact with management and employee staffs, applicants.
  • Work involves sitting, reading and writing along with standing, stooping, bending, and walking. Work may require some light lifting (exerting/lifting up to 20 pounds occasionally, up to 10 pounds frequently or a negligible amount constantly).
  • Work is in clean, well lighted, climate controlled environment with minimal hazards under normal conditions.
