Position Summary:

This position is responsible for developing and implementing brand marketing strategies to maximize the potential to increase revenue opportunities for the ilani property, while continually increasing brand awareness.


Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements innovative marketing and advertising strategies and programs, born from comprehensive database analytics
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with other senior management team members and outside partners
  • Ensures that all strategies are in line with brand objectives
  • Work with internal stakeholders to plan, create, and launch creative campaigns and compelling stories around announcements and initiatives that resonate with audiences, attracting a cross spectrum of customers
  • Maintains effective communications with subordinates and conducts staff meetings to review department progress on projects and assignments
  • Evaluates marketing programs to see if they are meeting revenue expectations
  • Oversight of all marketing functions, including but is not limited to, Marketing, Promotions, Player Development, VIP Services, Entertainment, Sponsorship, Bus Programs, Advertising, Events, Social-Media, Database Strategy, Direct Mail, Marketing Analytics, and Public Relations
  • Maintains, and perpetuates a positive organizational culture according to the principles of the Spirit of Tâlícn and the Core Values of ilani
  • Develops short and long-term marketing and advertising objectives and goals
  • Promotes superior guest service


Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs other related duties as assigned
  • Provides leadership coaching, career development and professional guidance to those positions within the direct reporting lines
  • Serves as a member of the Executive and Operational Leadership Committees

Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:

  • Ilani department policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of the ilani budget planning and analysis process
  • Effective utilization of ilani evaluation programs


Training Requirements:

  • Executive Leadership Development programs
  • Completion of role related system training programs
  • CER and purchasing procedures


Minimum Education and Requirements:

  • Diversified marketing background with at least ten (10) years of executive level management experience in a high volume, complex casino/hotel environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to foster a supportive and enabling team environment
  • Excellent problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical skills including experience in budgeting and forecasting
  • Strong business acumen and ability to identify opportunities and associated risks
  • Proven experience as a successful, objective and results-oriented executive with outstanding leadership skills who communicates effectively with his superiors and subordinates
  • Experience using SAS and other database analytic tools
  • Ability to interact with the public in a highly professional manner
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams and individuals
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or Business Administration


Physical Demands and Work Environment:

  • Office work environment
  • Must be able to sit in front of a computer for extended periods of time
  • Must be willing to adhere to company health safety measures
  • Must be willing to work in a smoking environment
  • Travel may be required
  • Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
  • Fast paced environment with frequent interruptions
