Summary
The Vice President of Global Procurement will drive a culture of cost savings and supplier accountability and ensure our client has the right product at the right time at the lowest costs. This role will define and drive the strategic direction of the Procurement organization that aligns and meets Company needs.

Compensation
Compensation comprised of a highly competitive annual salary + bonus + full benefits
Essential Responsibilities
- Responsible for creating vendor governance frameworks to drive continuous improvement
- Define the overall vendor management strategy, business case and roadmap for the division
- Facilitate adoption of pathways to low cost through established offshore contract models, as well as ensuring on-time and high-quality vendor transitions.
- Provide oversight and daily direction to the vendor management support team
- Ensure the timely negotiation of all agreements, including but not limited to Strategic Sourcing Agreements, Memorandums of Understanding, confidential disclosures, consignment, etc.
- Partner with leadership to determine and roll out “expand”, “maintain”, “de-invest” strategies for key strategic suppliers
- Ensure the highest quality of services is being delivered from key strategic vendor partners. This includes actively monitoring, managing, and improving vendor performance and ensuring adherence to SLAs
- Establish governance processes for managing new contract and invoice review and approval, service performance management, change control, issue management, communication, etc.
- Coordinate demand process and drive synergies across businesses
- Coordinate with appropriate stakeholders for contract renewal and renegotiation
- Collaborate and work closely with business owners and operations teams to ensure that the agreed scope of services is delivered
- Leverage material purchases to provide a distinctive difference between the Company and competitors by negotiating creative volume price breaks, rebate programs tied to aggregate dollars or volume thresholds or other creative incentives that deliver multi-million-dollar savings from the category year over year
- Negotiate and manage vendor agreements; implement and monitor supplier value measurements to ensure suppliers are meeting the business requirements through targeted KPIs
- Collaborate with leadership to implement frameworks to identify and track hardware and software usage as well as rationalization opportunities
Required Education, Skills, and Experience
- 25+ years of progressive, related experience
- Familiarity with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements, as well as an understanding of standard contractual terms and conditions to mitigate legal risk
- Multi-site manufacturing experience
- Financial acumen, including budgeting experience related to a global procurement function within a multinational, multifunctional organization
- Strong leadership capabilities to deliver results and to build and motivate diverse teams
- Strong negotiation skills
- Proven track record of leadership and people management skills in a dynamically changing matrix organization
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; Master’s degree highly preferred
- Commercial understanding of the supply chain
