Vice President Of Capital Markets

NCG Hospitality hiring a Vice President of Capital Markets to join their Executive Management Team!
NCG Hospitality is a leader in the development, operation, and ownership of premier hospitality properties. The Vice President – Capital Markets will provide leadership and strategy as a key member of the Executive Management Team, Finance Committee, Asset Management Committee and Development Committee.
Responsibilities will be a primary focus on debt and equity capital. Working directly with the Chief Development Officer (CDO), Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Vice President - General Counsel, this position will provide strategic guidance and lead all aspects of securing debt financing of new projects, re-financing existing projects, raising/placing equity and investor relations including taking a lead role in sourcing capital (debt and equity) and facilitating all financing related processes.
Essential Job Responsibilities

• Leverage and maintain established relationships in addition to cultivating new relationships with lenders and investors to support the mission and accomplish strategic goals of NCG Hospitality projects
• Lead all debt, equity and syndication related processes
• Source new debt financing from banks and institutions for refinancings, recapitalizations, acquisition and development opportunities.
• Oversee calculation and analysis of investment returns, comparison to expectations and presentation to owners
• Working with the Vice President – General Counsel and the CFO, strategically plan for and analyze tax deferral/avoidance plans to allow for property dispositions while maximizing reinvestment of sales proceeds into new ventures
• Review loan commitments and loan documents with internal and outside legal counsel and lenders and negotiate detailed terms in the loan documents
• Lead investor communication and investor relations including facilitating an annual meeting and prepare investor letters and other communication
• Be the lead facilitator of the loan closing process with the lender, including leading the due diligence and underwriting process for borrower
• Investigate sources of debt and equity capital and make recommendations to Sponsors/Owners for optimum capital structure for each project

Qualifications

• Ability to lead discussions with internal stakeholders to formulate strategic decision making and implement those decisions with external stakeholders (capital providers)
• Ability to work cross-functionally with other departments
• Discretion to handle confidential information.
• Established relationships with capital providers (debt and equity)
• Strong negotiation skills
• Willingness to openly embrace and actively demonstrate the company’s Vision, Mission, Values, Culture and Operating Philosophy.
• Proven track record in real estate finance including negotiations and processes (Real estate or hospitality experience preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or real estate
