Job Description

The Vice President serves as a champion, change agent and strategic growth leader committed to crafting a culture of belonging at Anywhere. Reporting directly to Anywhere’s Chief People Officer and will have a team of hardworking individuals. This individual will partner with senior business leaders, HR Business Partners, HR Centers of Excellence, Corporate Communications, and other key collaborators to develop and drive our DE&I strategy.

The VP will focus on leading growth strategy which incorporates the diversity efforts to drive engagement across both our agent and affiliate base. This will also include managing existing partnerships, engaging in industry media, establishing new partnerships with ancillary companies (GRA, Freddie Mac) and leading diversity recruitment efforts. The VP would not only lead our Employee Resource Groups & Anywhere Diversity and Inclusion Counsel (ADIC) but also the Growth Markets Task Force which is enterprise-wide and has a constituency that represents the business efforts.

This role will also ensure the voice of employees at all levels of the organization are welcome and involved in the formation of programs and practices.


Key roles and responsibilities:

  • Act as internal D&I champion by taking a balanced consultative approach to capitalize on D&I for success through strategic and tactical/operational execution.
  • In collaboration with corporate communications, help to drive communication strategy for promoting and highlighting DE&I programs, supporting promotion and evolution.
  • Drive program objectives through effective design and delivery methodology and defined project plans; lead implementation activities, and develop processes, documentation and communications for program/process roll out and ongoing support.
  • Collaborate with key partners in the planning, design, implementation and monitoring of key programs throughout the talent life cycle, ensuring plans are aligned with our DE&I philosophy, talent development frameworks and organizational strategies and goals.
  • Ensure DE&I principles and processes are embedded into global talent management programs such as performance management, talent review, organizational planning and high-potential identification, and total rewards programs/practices.
  • Design and lead implementation of employee resource groups, including nomination, selection, event management, communication, success metrics and business influence.
  • Regularly measure, analyze, report and present data, highlighting areas of strength and growth, providing consultative support to find areas for improvement.
  • Represent the company at various forums and events, consistently role modeling our values and behaviors.
  • Develop relationships with leaders to attain a deep understanding of the business, increase awareness and understanding of DE&I as a critical business imperative and drive the key pillars of the strategy into relevant initiatives.
  • Develop and deliver programs that drive DE&I awareness and underscore the reason for integrating into business strategy and collaborating with business units and vital team members.

Skills and experience:

  • Excellent communicator and collaborator, able to establish relationships, lead expectations and influence employees across all of Anywhere.
  • Cultural awareness, sensitivity, and flexibility is crucial.
  • Ability to influence others without direct authority to achieve solutions to meet organization’s objectives, and be proactive in providing solutions, resolving issues and overcoming hurdles to results.
  • 7+ years leadership level work experience in a preferably in the areas of DE&I, HR, or business management.
  • Ability to empower, influence and optimize working relationships with senior leadership, partners and peer groups; ability to challenge conventional wisdom.
  • Passion for diverse talent attraction, retention, development and belonging.
  • Strong program and project management skills, with demonstrated ability to operationalize and scale programs focused on this space.
  • 3 years validated experience working specifically in DE&I work, leading and running programs and initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to translate metrics, research, and trends into strategy and improvement opportunities.

Compensation Range:
$210,000 - $240,000; At Anywhere, actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual’s skills, experience, and qualifications.
