Position Summary:


  • Communicate with the Executive VP for Global Clinical Operations & Data Management on all client deliverables.
  • Within the matrix structure work with the functional heads to agree changes and operational deliveries across their region(s)
  • Developing key relationships with customers and where needed participate on customer steering committees.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility
  • Provide effective management support through the regional team to deliver a high performing culture.
  • Travel (approximately 30%) domestic and/or international
  • Overall budgeting responsibilities to drive productivity and quality within the region.
  • Working closely with Business Development to support the growth of the region and provide regional based knowledge to achieve success.
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Management of the Clinical Director teams.

  • Communicate with the Executive VP for Global Clinical Operations & Data Management on all critical issues and business growth opportunities.
  • Providing financial oversight for clinical activities.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with our clients
  • Responsible for the overall performance, quality, execution, control and completion of the Clinical Operations services within the designated region
  • Working closely with the functional heads of CRA monitoring and Study start up activities so that global consistency, focus and development are achieved across the regions.
  • Overall decision responsibilities in regard to resourcing, line management, training, functional delivery and agreeing high quality measurements within their region
  • As a member of staff, the employee is expected to embrace and contribute to our culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining our processes adding value to our business and meeting client needs.
  • Delivery of services against the key metrics to enabling ICON to achieve growth and an outstanding reputation in the CRO market
  • Drive the completion and delivery of the end to end service by the delivery of services through a variety of metrics and KPI's.
  • Oversight and executive of all Clinical monitoring activities, to achieve key matrix, including productivity and quality levels.
  • Leading the overall delivery, through the management team, to drive execution of service, customer satisfaction, quality and efficiencies.
  • Represent ICON and their region of expertise across key client portfolios. on executive steering committees and at bid defense meetings.
