The Vendor Relations Manager is responsible for developing and strengthening strategic relationships that promote increased business opportunities and top tier performance for our customers. This role will develop long term relationships with key partners to ensure the needs of the National Services and National Projects teams are met.


Responsibilities:


  • Builds a vendor management program with key strategic suppliers including metrics, performance goals and improvement initiatives.
  • Provides the highest level of customer service to internal and external customers.
  • May be required to perform other duties outside of these responsibilities to support the Service and project teams.
  • Responsible for developing standard operating benchmarks, measures for external labor and vendor’s performance against the same.
  • Sources and develops new labor suppliers to support the organizations growth, maintains documented labor supplier capacity and regularly reports to leadership.
  • Manages the Preferred Vendor list with prioritized tiers for both services and projects, including the preparation of exit transition strategies when needed.
  • Responsible for overseeing the accuracy and efficiency of the external labor services team including but not limited to the review and approval of new vendor packets and documentation, coding projects and services, noncompliance training, and rate increases.
  • Develops and executes a strategy to increase labor capacity.
  • Negotiates and implements labor supplier agreements/contracts by working with stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions.
  • Creates and maintains sourcing and labor supplier selection strategy; identifies and evaluates qualified labor suppliers and specialist sub-contractors.
  • Generates weekly reports and prepares status updates for senior management as required.


Skills/Qualifications:

  • 2- year college degree or equivalent industry specific experience; working knowledge of electrical industry preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience working with vendors and subcontractors; building customer and vendor relationships.

  • Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgement in methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
