Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Vendor Manager to join our team. As a Vendor Manager, you will play a critical role in managing our relationships with external suppliers and vendors to ensure a seamless and efficient supply chain for our company. You will be responsible for vendor selection, contract negotiation, performance monitoring, risk management, and fostering strong partnerships to achieve our business objectives.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead initiatives to improve vendor management processes and streamline operations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors and foster positive relationships.
  • Identify potential vendors based on our company's requirements and quality standards.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of vendors' capabilities, pricing, reliability, and compliance with industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to manage vendor-related costs effectively.
  • Identify potential risks related to vendor operations, supply chain disruptions, and quality issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine the best-fit vendors for specific materials, equipment, or services.
  • Develop and execute risk mitigation strategies to minimize any adverse impact on our business operations.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities through negotiation, supplier consolidation, and efficient procurement practices.
  • Ensure contracts address pricing, quality assurance, delivery schedules, and other essential terms to safeguard our interests.
  • Monitor and evaluate vendors' performance regularly against predefined key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Negotiate contracts with selected vendors to secure favorable terms and conditions that align with the company's objectives.
  • Identify areas for improvement and collaborate with vendors to implement corrective actions.
  • Analyze vendor performance data and gather feedback from internal stakeholders to identify opportunities for process optimization and cost savings.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with vendors to address concerns, resolve issues, and ensure alignment on business priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, track performance metrics, and make data-driven decisions.
  • Proficiency in using vendor management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple vendors and contracts simultaneously.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of vendor management best practices, supply chain operations, and industry regulations.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective vendor relationships.
