Vascular Technologist (No Evenings, Nights Or Weekends)

Our Vascular Techs are important members of the clinical team and help ensure that patients have a positive, caring, and professional experience during their office visits. Our Techs work alongside the providers performing clinical work and administrative assignments in order to keep the medical facility running smoothly. We follow a team approach in everything we do and each member is integral in delivering exceptional patient care. We appreciate a no-drama attitude at the clinic and treat each other as colleagues and friends.

Essential Functions:

• Examines & verifies provider orders for accuracy.
• Completes required reports and assists in necessary procedure authorizations in a timely and accurate manner.
• Report malfunctioning equipment to appropriate parties and order repairs as directed or needed.
• Review the patient history for any pertinent information.
• Operates Ultrasound equipment to generate quality images of designated portions of the body under the direct order of a physician and in accordance with radiation safety procedures.
• Must differentiate artifacts from anatomical or pathological structures and recognize any imaging abnormalities.
• Effectively and accurately communicates imaging results to the provider.
• Monitors supplies/stock room/equipment and initiates orders as needed.
• Performs basic patient care functions and informs appropriate nursing staff if additional care is needed.
• Uses EMR and other technology tools with confidence- all training necessary is provided.
• Accurately records patient medical history on designated history forms.
• Correlates medical history as given by the provider, and physical findings with the exam being performed.
• Ability to adapt to new and various situations and procedures according to patient capability.
• Communicate with the provider if a protocol needs to be obtained or a test needs to be altered.
• Additional tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

• ARDMS certified in ultrasound or Board eligible required
• Must be able to stand/walk for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift 40 lbs
• Must be up to date with local and federal regulations that apply to their licensure and role
• BLS certified
• 1-3 years of experience in vascular ultrasound is preferred, but not required.
• Must be willing to sit for the RVT exam within one year of hire, the employer will assist with facilitating the exam and cover associated costs.
• Ability to travel
