Job Description

As part of a diverse and hardworking team of technicians, you will build launch vehicles, spacecraft and launch facility systems. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of and responsible for manufacturing, assembling, and supporting hardware testing that meets Blue Origin's program requirements. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your dedicated commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable spaceflight.

Responsibilities:
  • Rapidly adapt to changing roles while working in a challenging high-paced work environment
  • Ensure tasks are performed on schedule, safely and in a professional manner
  • Follow, review, improve and provide feedback on work instructions for complex mechanical systems and installations
  • Intermediate and/or Depot level component experience
  • Maintain inventory of parts and equipment for assembly, test and maintenance of valve related systems
  • Integration, test, functional verification, and troubleshooting of hydraulic and pneumatically actuated cryogenic valves, systems and components
  • Show Innovation and accountability in the of improvement of processes and the efficiency of operations and the work area
  • Overtime is often required for particular integration tasks or test series
  • Assist engineers in reviewing and developing design concepts, tooling, test hardware and providing feedback for improvements
  • Safely work with chemical and/or high-pressure hazardous systems
Qualifications:
  • Physically able to climb ladders and stairs
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • A Demonstrated high-level problem of solving skills working in a team equipment
  • Work weekends and overtime when necessary
  • Lift and carry 50 lbs. for limited durations
  • 2 year AAS in appropriate engineering discipline and or 5 years’ experience (or equivalent) in aerospace, aircraft, R&D or related industrial fields
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical manuals
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Typically 40 hours per week, schedule varies depending on needs, flexibility required
Desired:
  • Experience with CAD systems for review and interpretation of 3-D models
  • Fabrication and Machining to support development and test activities
  • Certified forklift and crane operator
  • Experience with Cryogenic Systems; operation, safety and hardware; Pressure Vessels, Tubing, Fittings and Regulators
