Our client is a leading management consulting firm specializing in providing comprehensive valuation services to clients across various industries.

Compensation bracket: $100,000.00-$160,000.00

As an experienced Valuation Analyst, you will play a crucial role in conducting financial analyses, performing valuations, and preparing reports that adhere to regulatory standards. You will collaborate closely with senior team members, engage with clients, and contribute to the overall success of the firm. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of financial reporting requirements and demonstrate proficiency in business valuation methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior team members to review and validate valuation assumptions, methodologies, and conclusions.
  • Conduct in-depth research and gather relevant financial and industry-specific data to support valuation assumptions and conclusions.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support valuation analyses and ensure accuracy and consistency in calculations.
  • Prepare comprehensive valuation reports in compliance with applicable accounting and regulatory standards (such as ASC 820, ASC 805, IFRS 13) to effectively communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Assist in the due diligence process by analyzing financial statements, reviewing transaction documents, and identifying potential risks and opportunities.
  • Provide support during client meetings and presentations, effectively communicating valuation results, assumptions, and methodologies to both internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Participate in internal initiatives to enhance valuation methodologies, tools, and processes to drive efficiency and accuracy.
  • Perform financial analysis and valuation assessments using accepted methodologies, including discounted cash flow, market multiple, and comparable transactions analysis.
  • Stay updated on the latest accounting pronouncements and industry trends that may impact financial reporting and valuation engagements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs are met and addressing any questions or concerns promptly.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of experience in financial reporting and business valuations, preferably in a professional services firm or a corporate environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to gather, analyze, and interpret complex financial and industry-specific data.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling and valuation software (such as Excel, Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or equivalent).
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles, financial statement analysis, and regulatory standards (such as GAAP, IFRS).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex concepts and findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certifications (such as CFA, ASA, or CPA) would be an asset.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Proven expertise in valuation methodologies, including discounted cash flow, market multiple, and comparable transactions analysis.
  • Detail-oriented approach with a high level of accuracy in calculations and documentation.

Start date, and compensation package can be negotiated with the right candidate at our clients discretion.
