Job Summary:

Provide safe, effective, friendly parking garage services to guests of MidHudson Regional Hospital of Westchester Medical Center, the Atrium and MAP.

Responsibilities:

• Ensures that cash register tapes are filled and maintains proper synchronization of the clocks between cash register and ticket dispenser.
• Identifies any illegal parking, improper use of ticket machines by employees and notifies Security/Director of Service Excellence.
• Assists customers with the use of ticket machines/badge swipes promoting excellent customer service. Is acutely aware of surroundings and modifies routine to respond to potential issues impacting customer service. (i.e. with long lines to enter garage, hands tickets to patrons preventing gridlock).
• Performs other related duties as directed.
• Monitors garage for safety. Notifies Security or information desk immediately.
• Provide accurate money exchange in tollbooth.
• Provides guests with directions as needed.
• Insures that all parking issues are resolved quickly in a customer friendly manner. Identifies relevant issues to Director as warranted. Problem solves issues developing solutions for customer service recovery.
• Monitors supplies in tickets, keeps ticket dispensers filled and in proper working condition.

Experience:

N/A

Education:

• High School graduate or GED preferred.

LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS

• NYS Driver’s License.

OTHER

• Ability to use cash register.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Able to drive standard and automatic transmission vehicles.
• If applicable, the individual performing this job may reasonably anticipate coming into contact with human blood and other potentially infectious materials. Individuals in this position are required to exercise universal precautions, use personal protective equipment and devices, and learn the policies concerning infection control.
