Overview

North America’s largest wine and spirits distributor, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, is seeking a talented UX Designer to join our growing Digital Transformation team. Reporting to the Director, User Experience, this individual will be responsible for creating and enhancing user interfaces for the industry-leading Proof® eCommerce platform leveraged by over 100,000 businesses across the US. The ideal candidate will have a passion for user-centered design, a strong understanding of user research and testing methodologies, and the ability to translate complex concepts into intuitive, user-friendly designs.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Employ customer-centric design thinking to shape the future state of our digital products
  • Create low- and high-fidelity prototypes and design specifications for web and mobile interfaces
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in UX design
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and other designers, to ensure that user needs are met, and design standards are maintained
  • Work with developers to ensure that designs are implemented accurately and according to design specifications
  • Ensure that designs are responsive, accessible, and meet the latest design trends and best practices
  • Support usability testing and leverage feedback to inform design decisions and iterate on designs
  • Develop user personas, user journeys, user flows and wireframes to guide the design process
  • Build storyboards to conceptualize designs to accurately convey project plans to product teams, cross-functional partners, and leadership
  • Partner closely with UX Researchers to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points, and Product Owners to define design requirements
  • Define interaction models, user task flows, and UI (user interface) specifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication including executive-level presentation skills
  • 3+ years of experience in UX design
  • Battle-tested interpersonal and conflict-resolution abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Human-Computer Interaction, Graphic Design, or related field
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
  • Experience designing for web and mobile platforms
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
  • Highly collaborative spirit with a passion for achieving best-in-class, customer-centered user experience design
  • Strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions and design process
  • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles, user research methods, and usability testing
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or InVision
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
  • Experience designing for Adobe Experience Manager (AEM)
  • Familiarity with Scaled Agile delivery and support models
  • Hands-on experience with Adobe Target and any other 3rd party testing platforms, such as, Optimize, Maximiser or Optimizely

Physical Demands

  • Physical demands with activity or condition may include occasional to rare amount of time include walking, bending, reaching, standing, and stooping
  • May require occasional lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying, or pulling up to 15lbs
  • Physical demands with activity or condition for a considerable amount of time include sitting and typing/keyboarding using a computer (e.g., keyboard, mouse, and monitor) or adding machine
  • Domestic air travel infrequently required
