Utility Lineman Jobs

Pay: $1200-$2000 weekly (based on work completed)

Project beginning in the northeast region of Oklahoma and moving to various locations for a telecommunications company to test and remove drops that are no longer active on foreign owned poles.

Responsibilities:

• Climb poles using a ladder or gaffs
• Ensure that all work is completed to the satisfaction of customers and in a timely manner
• Maintain all equipment and tools in good condition
• Test telecommunications drops and troubleshoot issues as needed
• Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and other stakeholders
• Remove telecommunications drops when necessary
• Identify telecommunications facilities on telephone poles
• Use ArcGIS to accurately locate poles and upload before and after pictures of work completed
• Adhere to safety standards and protocols at all times

Qualifications:

• Ability to identify telecommunications facilities on telephone poles
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Familiarity with ArcGIS or similar GIS software
• Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent experience as a lineman
• Knowledge of telecommunications systems and equipment
• Ability to climb poles using a ladder or gaffs, work at heights, and lift heavy equipment
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record
