As a UI Software Engineer, you will bridge the gap between Design and Technology. You understand the importance of human-centered design and the implication of technology on experiences. You will oversee multiple projects and will utilize modern technologies to benefit our business stakeholders and development teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage the effective documentation and communication of design components in various design systems.
• Create and innovate new design technologies and the implementation of those technologies in the software industry.
• Be responsible for defining, developing, and evolving software in a fast-paced and agile development environment using the latest software development technologies and infrastructure.
• Influence the business-wide discussions relative to the future direction of technology as it relates to User Experience (UX).
• Lead design and development of software features that can be launched on multiple topological combinations (local host, cloud, etc.) for better efficiency and productivity.
• Oversee team discussions relative to current and future user experience projects.
• Lead researching new tools and technologies to keep our software development eco-system on the cutting edge for embracing modern development and deployment models.
• Effectively influence and lead the adoption of new technologies and their implementation as it relates to product/service design opportunities for cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Ability to rapidly prototype highly complex user interfaces for senior leadership or customer demonstration.
• Expert knowledge of APIs, Databases, and one server-side language (e.g., .NET, Python, Java, PHP, etc.); and
• Expert understanding of Front-End Frameworks (e.g., Angular.js, Ember.js, React, etc.) and best practices for architecting large-scale web applications.
• Expert knowledge of the implications of common languages (HTML, JavaScript, Java, C++, C#, Objective-C) for user interface construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science
• Strong infrastructure experience setting up and configuring scalable web applications (e.g., AWS, Azure, or traditional in-house).
• A minimum of 7 years of technical experience along with established leadership credentials across multiple product lines.
