Job Summary

• Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development and possesses the ability to respond to specific issues and data reflective of the resident/customer’s status.
• The universal aide is accountable for providing respectful care in assisting the elderly and frail elderly, to perform routine and delegated functions and assist in all areas the activities of daily living of resident care.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the population served in the department.
• Has knowledge of and utilizes appropriate resident care protocol relating to the physical and psychological needs of the elderly.

Education and/or Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required, GED accepted.
• Must be 18 years of age.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• South Dakota Certification as a Nurse Assistant required within four months.
• BLS Certification

Work Schedule

• Varied shifts: 32 hours every 2 weeks
  • Every other weekend
  • Every other holiday
  • Every other Tuesday and Friday
• Every other holiday
• Every other Tuesday and Friday
• Every other weekend

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

• $18.25 - $24.00 per hour
