Description:

Trinity Health Of New England is looking for a Unit Support Tech to join our CJRI OR team of mission-driven healthcare caretakers. Our vision is to provide state-of-the-art healthcare to those within our local communities, creating a positive impact for each individual that walks through our doors.

The Unit Support Tech maintains the order and cleanliness of the CJRI OR. The Unit Support Tech works under the supervision and direction of a Registered Nurse. The Unit Support Tech works in partnership with the Environmental Services team to maintain room and unit cleanliness.

Some duties include, but are not limited to, stocking of supplies, cleaning of medical equipment, cleaning of the CJRI operating rooms, secretarial duties, transporting specimens, and transferring of patients.

Work Hours/Shift:

  • Full-Time, 40 hours day shift

You Will Be Responsible For :

  • Supports Direct Patient care providers.
  • Contributes to the efficient operation of the department and promotes a positive image of Saint Francis Hospital.
  • Ensures availability and proper function of unit equipment as per unit guidelines.
  • Accurate inventories, maintain and stock supplies as per unit standards.
  • Maintains a clean and safe environment.

Requirements :

  • Education : Must possess a minimum of a high school diploma/GED.

Preferred Skills:

  • Excellent Communicator : Communicate effectively (written and verbal) with admin, colleagues, patients and family member. Must be able to read, write and speak English. Ability to adequately use or learn to use the department’s computerized systems and its associated devices. Knowledge of medical supplies and equipment or ability to learn. Must have strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Active Teamwork : Demonstrates positive communication through teamwork.
