Underwriting Assistant Jobs

The Underwriting assistant is responsible for reviewing all lines of business and ensuring that policies are issued in accordance with the established underwriting guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Quote and issue new business and process endorsements
• Work closely with underwriters to assist with the underwriting functions
• Preliminary review and limited approval of new business, renewals, inspections, mail, and follow up for all lines of business
• Provide rating assistance and underwriting support for our Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachusetts Agents

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to work in a team environment
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Outlook
