Company Description

The College of Arts and Letters (CAL) is a San Diego State University's division that offers undergraduate and graduate degrees in the humanities and social sciences. CAL's programs are designed to explore and deepen students' understanding of history, literatures, languages, religions, gender, ethnicity, class, and social and political actions. The faculty comprises highly qualified and recognized experts in their disciplines, who make excellence in teaching, as well as research their priority.


Role Description

This is a temporary hybrid role for an Undergraduate Research Assistant at CAL. The Undergraduate Research Assistant will be responsible for assisting with day-to-day research tasks, conducting literature reviews, and data analysis. The role is located in San Diego, CA, with flexibility for some remote work.


Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience with research and literature reviews
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in academic research is a plus
  • Demonstrated laboratory skills and experience with data analysis
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Strong analytical and research skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
